So, you think you are wise. Well, tell me what you know. Where does wisdom come from? True wisdom comes from the application of knowledge. True knowledge comes from direct or self-revelation. A wise man can rest in his knowledge. Personally, I don’t want to hear any second-hand knowledge, if you have no experience to back up what you are saying. Have you ever heard someone ramble on and on about a topic that they KNOW nothing about? Discerning people can tell the difference between real and fake; truth and error; hypocrisy and reality. We don’t want to hear you tell someone else’s story. Apply your knowledge, get your own experience, and then share your wisdom. I don’t believe anything until I KNOW it by experience. The book of Proverbs is all about wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. It tells us many things about true wisdom.
First of all and most importantly: The beginning of knowledge is the fear of or reverence for the Lord. If you deny the existence of a higher power than yourself, you are crazy. You are walking in deception and the real knowledge can’t penetrate your heart. You are blinded by the darkness that is causing you to deny the existence of God. Your pride says that you are God, there is nothing greater than you. If you are this person, please snap out of it and gain the first fruits of knowledge. Know yourself and know God! God is in you, but you are not God. However, you are of the same substance as God, spirit. We are spiritual beings who live in fleshy bodies. All wisdom originates in the spiritual realms and manifests in the flesh. Words are spirit and truth, but until the words are applied to your life, you will have no natural understanding. That brings me to the second point:
Proverbs say, with all of your getting, get understanding. True understanding comes from application of the words you know to be truth. So, it all begins with a word. In the beginning was the word, the Word was with God, and the Word was God (somewhere in the bible). Excuse me for not quoting the exact verses in the bible, but the words are written on my heart. A matter of fact, the words have manifested and transformed me into the man of God that I am. I am who I am because he is who he is! The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. To make a long story short: A seed of knowledge (a word) + the application of the word (wisdom)= manifestation (faith). Faith is the evidence of an unseen substance.
Faith comes by hearing, and by hearing the word of God (##??).
Let those who have ears to hear and a mind to calculate, perceive the word of God.
